Disabled Facilities Access Key.
The Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK) is your key to accessible facilities! Providing access for all, this key enables people with a disability to have 24/7 access to clean and safe toilets, playground equipment, elevators, and other facilities that have been fitted with a lock that uses the MLAK cylinder.
These cylinders can be found in use not just in NSW, but across Australia at certain:
Accessible toilets (at railway stations, council facilities, shopping centres, national parks)
Elevators at railway stations
Adaptive playground equipment, such as the Liberty Swing
Eligibility is restricted to:
People with a disability, or
People with written authority from:
a Doctor
a disability organisation
a community health centre
local Government authorities, centre management or owners of a building with an MLAK enabled facility onsite
